Meet AC Milan rising star Luca Vido.
The Rossoneri academy is not the same one of two decades ago, when players like Alessandro Costacurta, Paolo Maldini and Franco Baresi, just to name a few, obtained a senior-team promotion from the Primavera.
By the way, the San Siro club could recently rely on good prospects such as Matteo Darmian and Riccardo Saponara who have been sold to cash in a total amount of less than € 5 million.
Fans’ hopes are that the club won’t commit the same mistake with Luca Vido, an 18 year old striker. Vido starred in the last Italy U-19 squad, scoring three vital goals to secure an Azzurri 3-2 victory over Macedonia in the EURO U-19 Qualifiers.
The AC Milan Primavera starlet netted the first one from the penalty spot before half-time, while the following two were delivered in the second half by two assits of Manuel Locatelli another AC Milan rising star, playing as a midfielder.
Vido is hardly 18, being born on the 3rd of February 1997. He joined AC Milan when he was only 14 and since then he played in all the youth Italy national teams. Last year he scored 7 goals in 15 Primavera matches, while this season he netted twice in four games.
His model is a certain Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish hitman was capable of scoring 56 goals in 85 matches in his two years spell at AC Milan.
Will Luca Vido manage to play for the club's senior-team or will he take the same path of Matteo Darmian and Riccardo Saponara?
Neither of the two options would be bad for him.
